Meet the Founders: Katie & Evan Pflugradt
Children are naturally curious about the world around them, and Pages of Wonder Club is designed to help kids explore their curiosity through meaningful stories and hands-on activities. Each box brings families together to learn about different cultures, build empathy, and share intentional time learning, talking, and creating side by side.
A Vision Rooted in the Classroom
The heart of Pages of Wonder is founder Katie Pflugradt, an elementary teacher with a specialized degree in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). Throughout her career, she has viewed the world through her students’ eyes and noticed that many children’s experiences rarely extend beyond their own zip codes.
This inspired her to bring the “magic” of her classroom—hands-on, culturally rich learning experiences designed to build empathy and curiosity about the world—into homes through Pages of Wonder.
From Our Family to Yours
Alongside her husband, Evan, Katie turned this passion into a mission. Together, they founded Pages of Wonder Club to help families create intentional moments of curiosity and connection beyond everyday distractions.
Evan and Katie understand that families want to nurture curiosity about the world but don’t always have the time to gather materials or plan meaningful learning experiences. They’ve thoughtfully put everything together so you can simply open the box and enjoy the wonder of discovering, learning, and creating together.
What Drives Us
We are building a community of compassionate global citizens. Our mission is built on three pillars:
- Curious Learning: Every book and activity is designed by an educator to spark curiosity and a love of discovering the world.
- Cultural Discovery: We explore the world beyond the surface, helping children appreciate the traditions, perspectives, and everyday lives that make each place unique.
- Family Connection: We create experiences that bring families together for intentional moments of discovery, conversation, and creativity.
